Via IOverlander, we had found a bakery, which makes German style bread and much more. We had contacted Christian and ordered bread, croissants and bretzel, which we picked up at the Padre Pio Mission in Lusangazi, south of Mzuzu.
It was a pleasure to talk to Christian, an German who had many fascinating jobs in his live, traveled from Germany to Africa with his MAGIRUS and lives in Malawi since 1995. He looks after the bakery at the moment, which is a place where young people can learn the trade of a baker.
On the way south from Mzuzu, we came through a fascinating landscape with granite mountains, before we reached Embangweni. We just took the wrong route, more about that on our next post!
