We stayed at the Panorama Camp in Graskop after exploring the Blyde River Canyon. Next to the campsite we went to explore a quite new attraction: a lift takes you down into the gorge and you can explore the indigenious forest on a board walk through the jungle, very different from the grassy cliff tops.
In the forest, you walk over elevated boardwalks and suspension bridges with many information boards about the vegetation around you.
After a lovely walk through the forest, the lift takes you back up and you are again on top of the cliff and in a different world full of people and cars.
We will now continue to Pilgrim’s Rest – an historic gold mining town. More next!
