We always tell ourselves we go to the Pogusch for the nice hikes there, but the truth is, we go there for the fantastic restaurant.

We had arrived in the evening and had spent the night at the parking along the street (47.529583, 15.333602) which was peaceful during the night.

We always go on a hike first before endulging at the restaurant, so we don’t feel as guilty 😉 On one side
of the pass the Bründlweg starts, which is a great hike around the
mountain where you will encounter little farms where drinks, snacks and
cakes are offered, mainly from their own production. This time we tried
the other direction where a trail leads along the top of the mountains.

But then it was time for a nice lunch. The Wirtshaus Steirereck am Pogusch offers traditional Austrian cuisine on a high level. If you want to go there: it is only open Thursday to Sunday and reservation is highly recommended.

Afterwards we needed a nap to recover before driving on to Vienna, which is just 2 hours away. We will now spend more than a week working again before we are on the way to South Tyrol for some hikes and then we will visit the Abenteuer & Allrad fair in Bad Kissingen! Much to look forward to.
