Before we made our way back to civilisation, we did a circle around these mountains. The track in the valley was a bit more challenging with steep steps and inclines, but the rock formations made it worth it.

Driving in direction to the road leading to Foum Zguid, we thought the adventure was behind us, but the track had a last challenge for us, when we had to cross 2 riverbeds with steep banks. Big round stones and sand made it difficult to drive, but we finally reached the tar road and the little desert village, where we restocked, before we hit the next track.

At Foum-Zguid, we came past 2 destroyed river crossings, supposedly by the big rain from last September. A detour was established, and they were dismantling the concrete, taking the iron out to reuse it.
After finding everything we needed in the little shops along the road, we had lunch at a lovely restaurant at the roundabout. The owner with his great turban posed for a photo for Edi.

We decided to leave Foum-Zguid the same day, and tackle an old track leading to Tissint instead of using the tar road.
If you want to follow our route, here is the link to the track.
