Between Caños de Meca and Barbate lies a natural park of sand dunes and pine trees, with a beautiful hiking route along the coast.

These pine trees were planted many years ago to stop the dunes from moving inland. The harvest of the pine nuts from this forest is about 200 tonnes a year. A nice income considering the price of these nuts.
