Nearly everywhere in the world, people eat some kind of bread. But the way it is produced and how it looks like and tastes is very different. We were already fascinated by the bread in Georgia and Armenia. Here in Jordan they use a different kind of oven, and it was fascinating to watch them make the typical local bread, which people buy in big piles for the whole family.
The huge disk of dough comes on a rotating disk and when it has done once circle, it is already finished. Afterwards it gets sliced and stacked to be sold.
Of course, we bought way too much bread for our breakfast, including some Falafel and Hummus from the shop next door, but it was delicious!
