Coll de Vent

We had spent the night at Arén, where we walked to some dinosaur prints, not far from our parking spot next to the cemetery. The sight is well-marked and has information boards and a walkway, that you can admire the prints from close without destroying them.

Dinosaur prints – always fascinating!

That day we went on a gravel track going up on the western side of the valley. First we reached an abandoned village and from there drove over a tableland with great mountain views.

We were getting closer and closer to an impressive rock formation called “Tozal de los Morros”. In front of these rocks we stopped for lunch and afterwards went for a hike, exploring the track leading down into the next valley.

The track down had a couple of very steep and narrow hairpins, and as we know that our car has a bad cornering radius, we decided against it and spent the night at this incredible spot, before we will take a different route back to civilisation.
