Before we left Lanzarote, we had a few nice days, which we spent at the beaches of Papagayo in the south near Playa Blanca. We could stay there overnight at the parking and hike from one beach to the other or just enjoy the beach and the sun.

This beach looked very enticing to go snorkelling and our hope was, that the water in the bay would be a little warmer. We were mistaken. It was so freezing cold that Cordy’s snorkelling adventure lasted not even 5 minutes, or 2. So we stayed at our beach and soaked up the sun instead.

But finally, we had to take the ferry back to Fuerteventura, as we didn’t manage to get a ferry ticket to go directly from Lanzarote to Cadiz. Instead, we will go back to Gran Canaria and take the ferry from there to Huelva. But we have some time left to explore more of Fuerteventura first.

As only a couple of days with good weather were predicted, we decided to spend them again at the lagoon near Costa Calma, our favourite spot!

We are going to explore the west coast of Fuerteventura next – more soon!
